By Request - The Bliss of Mrs. Blossom (1968 Soundtrack) (Riz Ortolani)

'KaBluie' made a request for this soundtrack back on the 'Orphaned Film Songs' post and I'm only too happy to oblige. I love the music from this film and it's from another one of those comedies that I enjoyed watching, but would not rate as being perfectly made. Shirley MacLaine plays a woman married to Richard Attenborough who keeps a lover, played by James Booth, in her attic. Wackiness ensues. I love comedies like that (even the mediocre ones). It's funny, now that I think about it, how mediocre comedies from the 1930's through the 1970's are still generally better than mediocre comedies from 2006. Maybe they'll seem better 20 or 30 years from now (but I'll probably be too senile to know the difference). Well, enjoy this fun score and especially Shirley MacLaine's sexy humming of the main title theme (I know I do).

P.S. On his blog, KaBluie made some requests for songs from various films like A Shot in the Dark, The Howling II, etc. by people like Fran Jeffries, Eddie Money, and Jane Powell. I didn't have any of them and KaBluie didn't ask, but if anybody has any of them, I thought it'd be nice to put it out there. Take a look here for the 5 song requests. Thanks.

Thanks Isbum!

Though it was somebody else's rip, so I don't want to take credit for someone else's great record needle! :))

Thank you! I downloaded it! I can't listed to it right now. My computer crashed & I used System Recovery and I didn't have to loose any files, but now I can't get sound.

Hi Kabluie!

You're welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your computer though. I know how that is. Hope it recovers soon!
