Repost - Guess Why Again? - Oscar Winners Sing Just For You, Vol. 3 (Duets & More)

I know you've been dying for another volume in this series (judging by the relatively low number of downloads and the zero comments on the first volume), so here it is! I've skipped Volume 2 since some of the tracks I wanted to complete it are in storage, but you can find Volume 1 here.

I've also included an alternate track #26. You can replace the existing Joe Pesci track with the Peter Sellers one if you want a family-friendly version of this compilation. The Joe Pesci / Marisa Tomei duet is fairly filthy and for adults only (unless you're a very mature child), so be forewarned before listening to it in front of your respective clergymen (but for all you atheists and agnostics out there, listen to your hearts' content).

There is something heartwarming though about hearing Marisa Tomei speak that way. Well, I put the alternate track in a separate folder in the rar file and you can just swap it out if you want. Two compilations for the price of one! (But please don't listen to the alternate track by sticking it at the end of the original compilation because it kind of ruins the effect of the last track. Either listen to it separately later or replace the Pesci track. Okay, actually do whatever you want. It's just a suggestion. Actually, the Peter Sellers track works as the last track too, but it's not the way I intended it. Well, you can listen to the whole compilation backwards; I can't stop you. Be that way!)

Enjoy!

P.S. And it occurs to me that with Casino Royale out right now, it's a good time to listen to Judi Dench! (Well, there are no new Vivien Leigh movies in the theaters right now, so you'll just have to settle.) And I know you're probably tired of hearing compilations that have Walter Brennan following Reese Witherspoon, but what are you going to do?

Hi Vince!

Thanks for the nice words! Sophia & Sellers came from a Peter Sellers album on which she sang a few songs with him. And Don Ameche came from the 1967 Bob Merrill stage musical, 'Henry, Sweet Henry'. :)

Hi Anonymous!

Thanks so much! Volume 2 had the men on it, but there are a few items I wanted to put on there that were in storage so it may take a long time to finish that one. If you look in the archives though, you should find some Savalas on some of the other compilations.

If you ever do decide to do your compilation though, I'd love to hear it!

Merry Christmas to Romania!! :)))

I would like to see more posts like this too, not necessarily just Oscar winners, but any comps of actors and actresses who don't normally sing. I look forward to the next one!

These collections are fabulous. I love your knack for putting compilations together. Yours are better than some studio releases! Keep up the great work.

nomwl1, terrific compilation! It must have taken you ages to put this together and it's a great listen.

Cheers

Watson

I like your compilations, the music is great. Thanks for all the work you do.

Hi Genkp!

Thanks! Now that you bring it up, maybe I'll do something like that. I did a tape comp a long time ago that I called 'Unexpected Singers' and I came up with the Oscar Winners theme as a way of narrowing them down, but maybe I'll do a digital update of that old tape now that you got me thinking about it! :))

=========================

Hi Sallie!

Wow! Thanks so much for saying that! I really love hearing that (probably because I hardly hear it at all). I'm really glad you enjoy them! :)))

=========================

Hi Watson!

And I'm so glad you enjoyed it too! You know how much I enjoy your and Sallie's and Mel's taste for the older material (not to mention Rocket, Filmpac, Isbum, Quinlan....well, you get the idea), so it means a lot to hear you say it!

===========================

Hi Erick!

It's so great to hear from you again! Thanks so much for what you said about the compilations!! (and when I finally update my links, I've got to remember to add your blog......I could've sworn I added it before, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere in the list! :((....well, for anybody else reading this, go over to the Wonderful Wonderblog for much entertainment!!)
