By Request - The Sand Pebbles (1966) (Jerry Goldsmith) [Deluxe Edition]
A reader (hi 'Frazzle Dazzle'!) at Hollister's great JazzNotes blog mentioned wanting The Sand Pebbles in the comment section of the Goldsmith post there, and since I didn't know which version he wanted, I posted 2 of them. (Hopefully, they'll forgive the delay in posting this.) (And no, you aren't experiencing deja vu, I just couldn't think of anything new to say.) This is still a great dramatic score by Jerry Goldsmith for the Steve McQueen film (although wouldn't it be funny if it were the same score, but to a totally different movie?). This is the Varese Sarabande CD Club Deluxe Limited Edition version (boy, that's a mouthful). Enjoy!Track List:
