Is Anyone Having A Problem With The Files?

'Anonymous' said that he was having trouble using Unstuffit to open up the 'TV Favorites Sing Just For You' zip file. He said he tried that program and others and none of them paused for the password. Has anyone had any problems with any of the files? - passwords, unzipping, dead links, etc. I use WinRAR and have never had any problems, but if you've experienced any problems using other software or any problems in general, please let me know one way or the other. I'd appreciate it!

Comments:
Stuffit Expander seems to be unable to expand RAR files with passwords containing slashes (converting "c" escape sequences perhaps?)

I also find Stuffit Expander seems to crash all the time (often when it tries to close the "expanding" window, leaving behind an invisible directory of everything it extracted).

A lot of the links seem to have been deleted and/or fail to open with Stuffit?.

No, the links are still good, it's just that one person who seemed to have problems using Stuffit. Maybe it is the dashes in the password, I don't know. That's why I was asking if anybody else had any problems opening my files. :)

Absolutely no problem for me personally. I use a PC and WinRar. And i'm happy I have no problem, considering the amount of good stuff you post ;-)))

Affirmative: StuffIt and UnZip HATE passwords w/ funny characters (just like Windows, actually: try !*/...): maybe you should eliminate the 'underscore' from the password...

Well, I used Stuffit Expander 8.0.2 and it worked with no problems. I have had problems with Stuffit 10 on my G4 Mirror Door (OS 10.4.5), so I uninstalled it and only use Stuffit 8 now. Hope that helps!

yes- a few worked fine such as the foriegn language pop hits compilation...but I'm having a problem with Theatre Of Blood and Sleuth. I'm on Mac OSX. I don't even get the password prompt.

I use UnRarX on the Mac and it works fine.

Seems there are different versions of Stuffit and maybe some are hinkier than others.

Instead of a password maybe just insert a txt file so anyone leeching will be shown up for clearly not being the original uploader.

Or put youdon'thavetovisit.blogspot into the upload file name. I know I've had to be careful typing the password 'cause of the underscores, but it's been worth it!

Great stuff, unique blog!

Hi Peri!

Sorry for the delayed response, but the password is: you_dont_have_to_visit

If you still have problems, please let me know. Thanks!

I download the files with no problem, but I'm not prompted by my Stuffit Expander to enter the passwords, subsequently, I cannot open them. I have a MacBook. Any suggestions, please pretty please?

Many many thanks, fantastic website!

your files cannot be opened; not a password-related problem, either. unsure of difficulty; have "hacked" down only a little into permissions, etc. mystery.
