Mickey Spillane - R.I.P. - Stan Purdy - Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer

This last (hopefully, unless there's been some bad news I haven't heard about) memorial post is dedicated to writer, Mickey Spillane. I'm sure other blogs will do a much better job eulogizing his career than I would, so I'll just present this album in which Mickey performs with Betty Ackerman. The first track is the hard-boiled Mike Hammer story with great accompaniment by Stan Purdy's music and the last four tracks are great jazzy instrumentals.
