The High and the Mighty (1954) (Dimitri Tiomkin)

Here is the Oscar-winning score to the John Wayne airplane thriller. It beat out scores like The Caine Mutiny by Max Steiner and On The Waterfront by Leonard Bernstein. Whenever you have memorable themes that have a life outside of the film, it really helps.

Somebody also requested this a while back, so there's another reason to post it. But really almost everything's being requested and posted, so the odds are pretty good that anything I post will fall into that category.
