'Quidtum' had requested Piero Piccioni's score from Le Mepris, and I knew I had some Delerue from that film but not the Piccioni score, so I thought I'd put this up. It's just a few tracks from the score along with tracks from other French New Wave films, and probably not what he had in mind, but hopefully still enjoyable to have some nice music by good composers. Thanks for one of Delerue's greatest French film scores. Could you now please post his greatest American film score, "True Confessions." It was available last year in a stingy limited edition of 1,000 copies. By the time I found out about it, it was sold out. Could you help those of us who have had to unfairly live without this music for decades hear it once again. Many in the blogosphere would be happy.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe it! You've done it again! Just when I thought my life was complete with some of the amazing scores and links you've posted (particularly 'Addio Zio Tom' and 'Africa Addio'), you post the soundtrack to Cléo De 5 à 7!
I've been searching for these songs for about 10 years, with no luck. It's one of my favorite films, and the song 'Sans Toi' is of particular personal significance.

Thanks lots for the heretofore "unfindable" film scores. For some of us audiophiles you're the next best thing to a last resort. In case there's anybody there who has the scores for the original "Romeo and Juliet" by Henry Mancini, "Valley of the Dolls" by Andre Previn and "Friends" by Elton John, hearing them again will be great.
